Dinner and... "Caregiving"

  • SHARON S. RICHARDSON (map)

Caregiving can be very rewarding but the stress that comes with it cannot be denied. Some spouses, adult children and family members are providing care 24 hours a day. Adult children are especially challenged as they care for elderly parents, meet the demands of their young family and manage career responsibilities.

Message from John & Barb Wenig:

The grief and bereavement period that follows a death can add new communication challenges and adjustments for married couples and a family. Whether the death be a miscarriage, stillbirth, death of a child, sibling or parent, grief manifests itself in unique ways. John and Barb Wenig will share their experiences that followed the deaths of their oldest son and each of their parents. “

Participants will also learn to: recognize signs of caregiver fatigue, use tools to support self-care and identify available resources. You will also learn how hospice services support your loved one and you- the caregiver. No need to be alone with your worries and increasing responsibilities. Help is available!
