Marriage is a covenant union where two individuals become, "one flesh" before God and by God. This means that two individuals, two souls, with two personalities, two different paradigms of experience, expectation, and aspiration, are brought into a relationship that is meant to function as if it were not two, but one. How can all of those variables come together in a harmonious way in which each individual is fulfilled, and God is glorified? In this teaching, Pastor Stephen will discuss the challenges that couples face with their differences, and how the same faith in Christ that reconciles us to God and empowers us to serve God, is the same faith that reconciles us to each other and empowers us to serve one another.
